Will someone actually answer at 2 AM?
Yes. A real person answers day and night, weekends and holidays. Urgent problems like smoke in the house, active leaks, storm damage or a trapped animal can get a tech out at any hour.
What should I do if I think my chimney is on fire?
Get everyone out and call 911. After the fire department leaves, don't use the fireplace until a Level 2 inspection confirms the flue is safe. We do post-fire inspections and repairs.
Can hail damage my chimney?
Yes. Hail dents caps and chase covers, cracks crowns and tears flashing. We photograph and write up the damage so you can include it in your homeowners claim.
Can I burn wood on an Action Day?
Not in an older, non-certified fireplace or stove. During the November–March high pollution season, Colorado can restrict wood burning in the Denver metro on Action Days. Gas fireplaces and certified appliances are generally exempt, so check the daily advisory first.
Does a gas fireplace need yearly service?
It should get one. A yearly check covers the vent, burner, pilot, logs and glass, plus a carbon monoxide reading.
Why does smoke come into the room when I light a fire?
Usually a cold flue, a partly closed damper, a blockage, or a tight house pulling air down the chimney. We find the cause and fix it, often with a cap, a damper or a properly sized liner.
How often should the chimney be cleaned?
Get it inspected once a year, and swept when soot or creosote has built up. Homes that burn wood often usually need a sweep every season.
